John Grissim has established an award-winning, international practice distinguished by design excellence, client service, and environmental stewardship.
His work has received widespread recognition, including awards from Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush during their tenure as First Ladies at the White House. Professional awards include Fellowship in the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Michigan State University Distinguished Alumni Award, the Paul Harris Fellow Award Rotary Intern, the Planner President's Award from Michigan Planning Officials and most recently, Citizen of the Year by the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.
John founded the firm in 1961 and has led its widely published success and growth throughout the United States, Canada, Jamaica, and Europe.
His personal involvement in projects nurtures the significant number of long-term client relationships and the firm's ability to attract and satisfy clients.
John contributes his leadership to community volunteer organizations such as Beautification Commissions for Farmington Hills and Milford, YMCA Director, Milford Church President, and Walnut Creek Country Club President.
